About Me...
I don't know what to write in these things when it comes to writing about myself... So here goes I'm Vicki Douglas.. the artist at Studio 7. I have always gravitated to the number 7 and in high school I was nicknamed Lucky 7 because I was always lucky. Lots of things in my life have happened in 7's. I had 7 cats, I was married 7 years, I have moved 7 times in the past 12 years, and I've had 7 vehicles since I was 16. So it's only fitting that I name my art something with 7 in it.
I am a total crafter at heart. I have been rubber stamping and card making for 20 years and I own a rubber stamp company called Queen Kat Designs. I have been sewing and making things with fabric since I was 5 and old enough to sew my fingers together. I also own Kat's Magical Patches a fabric block company.
I love to sketch and draw. I am learning and trying new things with my paint. My chosen media at the moment is watercolor. My good friend Maigan Lynn got me started with my paints and has been a huge inspiration for me to go for it! {thanks Maigan}
I enrolled in a class by Ady Almanza and have learned alot and am still learning from her. I found out that I really love to make Eyelashes! I'm in love with eyes at the moment.
Some of my favorite artists and inspirations come from Maigan Lynn, Myka Jelina, Natalie Von Raven, Christina Lynn Myers, Caia Koopman, Jasmine Becket-Griffith, Regan Kubecek, Ora Moon, Heidi M Drake, Terra Biddlespacher, Nikki Burnette, Carla Morrow, Toni {Blonde Blythe} Boozer, Misty Benson, & Lillian Fioretzi.
